Gareth Bale’s new contract reportedly has a release clause of €500m. The Welsh winger has been linked with a move to Manchester United but the release clause could scupper a potential deal.
Toni Kroos recently signed a contract extension with The Los Blancos. Bale’s future was in doubt when he expressed his unhappiness over the lack of a new contract. Bale enjoyed a stellar start to the season as he already scored three goals and laid two more goals.
Bale will earn a staggering £120m for six years that will keep him at the club till 2022.It will make him one of the highest-paid players in the Europe. Bale was signed from Tottenham Hotspur for a world record fee of £85m and since then went on to win Two Champions League, one Spanish Cup and one Super Cup. In 131 matches the Wales winger has netted 61 goals for the Spanish Giants.
Following Bale’s footsteps Ronaldo, Luka Modric are also set to renew their contract.
