Mauricio Pochettino’s men will travel to the King Power Stadium to take on Leicester City after getting back to winning ways at the midweek after the derby defeat at the hands of their arch-rivals Arsenal. Last time these two sides faced each other, they played out a nine goal thriller where Tottenham ran out 5-4 winners. Anything similar to that would be great for the neutrals again.
After spending a brief time outside of top 4, Tottenham are back in it. They might not have played the most eye-catching football during this season, but they have kept on plugging away.
Team News
The midfield duo of Victor Wanyama and Mousa Dembele are likely to be unavailable. Jan Vertonghen should be back after sitting out against Southampton due to suspension. Erik Lamela is also a doubt because of a thigh strain. Kieran Trippier is back after the injury setback. Centre back Davinson Sanchez is also on the treatment table. Vincent Janssen is a long-term absentee following his foot surgery.
Tottenham Hotspur Predicted Lineup Vs Leicester City
Formation (4-2-3-1)
Defence
Captain Hugo Lloris is a guaranteed starter in goal. The Belgium centre-back partnership of Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld are expected to be reunited again, and young Juan Foyth might have to miss out. Danny Rose seems like a constant threat when he starts down the left, and he should get the nod over Ben Davies.
Kieran Trippier started the midweek game after the injury, and we believe Serge Aurier should be preferred for this tie to start down the right side of the defence.
Midfield
Moussa Sissoko has rediscovered himself and is almost seen all over the pitch in midfield areas. He should start given his excellent run of form. Harry Winks has also impressed, and the Englishman should partner him in the central midfield areas.
Son Heung Min has been a major impact player for Pochettino, and his directness and pace should keep the opposition defenders occupied. He should start down the left. Dele Alli will play in a more central role behind the striker, and he will often interchange places with his attacking partners. His late runs into the box are going to be a significant threat for Leicester defenders. Christian Eriksen is likely to start down the right, but he would often drift inside and allow the overlapping run of the fullback.
Attack
Harry Kane has found his scoring boots, and after an influential performance midweek, he is expected to lead the line once again for Spurs.
