Liverpool came from behind to win the match against Burnley. The Reds scored thrice after going down to a goal from Jack Cork, who put the ball in the back of the net in the 54th minute. James Milner, Roberto Firmino and Xherdan Shaqiri scored the goals for the Merseyside club as they narrowed the gap between them and leaders Manchester City to two points on the Premier League table.
It was a scrappy goal to give Burnley the lead via Jack Cork. Liverpool, however, made a few changes to the regular starting XI as the scorer of the winning goal from the last match against Everton, Divock Origi, was handed a start. Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino were all kept on the bench as Xherdan Shaqiri and Daniel Sturridge led the attack.
Milner drove the ball with absolute precision into the right corner of the net as he scored the equaliser in the 62nd minute. Firmino came on as a substitute and added a second in the 69th minute from a brilliant pass by Virgil Van Dijk and Xherdan Shaqiri scored the third one with a neat finish just before the end of the match.
