West Ham United dished out a clinical performance against Newcastle United as they brought about a crucial win at St James Park. Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez struck twice to secure the victory for the Hammers and Felipe Anderson put the final nail in the coffin for the Magpies with a late goal in the 93rd minute. This win puts the West London side in the 13th place in the league table while the Tyneside club goes down to the 15th place.
The Hammers started to put pressure on the Magpies since the beginning of the match and their ploy was successful. Hernandez put the visitors in front with an opportunistic finish from an inch-perfect cross from Robert Snodgrass in the 11th minute of the match. He doubled the lead with another brilliant finish past Martin Dubravka in the 63rd minute and literally ended all hopes for a Newcastle United comeback into the game. Felipe Anderson added to his tally in the dying moments of the match to wrap up the 4th win for West Ham this Premier League season.
