Real Madrid bounced back to winning ways in their last match in the Champions League as the Galacticos beat AS Roma away from home by 2-0. Gareth Bale and Lucas Vazquez scored the goals for Real to give some relief to Santiago Solari ahead of their crucial clash against Valencia in the La Liga.
The Galacticos are looking to make a mark in the domestic competition and bounce back from the disastrous start this season. They are currently stranded at the 6th place in the league table and would look to bag maximum points from their next encounter against Valencia.
Team News
Solari has a number of injury concerns as the likes of Casemiro, Alvaro Odriozola, Sergio Reguilon and Keylor Navas are all out of the contest against Valencia. However, the Argentine mastermind has a strong enough squad at his disposal and should be able to give good competition to the opposition.
Goalkeeper
In the absence of Keylor Navas, Thibaut Courtois will start once again in goal for the Galacticos. The Belgian had a good outing against Roma and would look to keep another clean sheet against Los Murciélagos.
Defence
A backline with the likes of Marcelo, Dani Carvajal, Sergio Ramos and Raphael Varane should be ready to take the field in the next match in the La Liga. Marcelo and Carvajal will start as the left and right backs respectively while Ramos would pair up with Varane in the heart of the backline.
Midfield
With Casemiro out of the squad due to injury, Dani Ceballos will start in the defensive midfielder position. Toni Kroos and Luka Modric will start in central midfield for the Galacticos and would look to build the game from the back.
Attack
Goalscorers from the last outing, Gareth Bale and Lucas Vazquez will once again look to add to their tally against Valencia as they start on the left and the right wide attacking positions respectively. Karim Benzema, who provided the assist for Vazquez’s goal with a brilliant header will lead the line for the Galacticos once again.
Predicted Formation: 4-3-3
