Real Madrid faces a daunting trip to Basque Country to take on Eibar at the Ipurua Municipal Stadium on Saturday. Santiago Solari has completely turned their fortunes around for the better after taking over as the head coach at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium a few weeks ago. The Galacticos have won each of their past four matches in all competitions and will come into this clash full of confidence despite being plagued with injuries, especially at the back.
Solari could opt to change the formation of his team to cope with the injury crisis, or he could play with a makeshift left-back and stick with his 4-3-3 set-up that has worked so well before the international break.
4-3-3 Real Madrid Predicted Lineup To Face Eibar
Defence
Thibaut Courtois will continue as Solari’s first-choice keeper after the international break is over. Sergio Ramos is a definite starter at the back and could be joined by Raphael Varane, who should recover in time to line up in central defence. Los Blancos are currently going through a mini injury crisis in defence with Nacho Fernandez, Dani Carvajal, Marcelo and Sergio Reguilon all out of this upcoming league clash with injuries.
Solari is expected to opt for Álvaro Odriozola to operate as the right-back as the Spaniard looks to put in an impressive shift going forward. Jesús Vallejo could be unleashed as a makeshift left-back as the Galacticos currently have no fit players to take up the left-back berth in Solari’s starting XI.
The Madrid defenders need to keep things stable at the back as so many players are missing due to injuries. It won’t be easy for them to travel to Basque Country and keep the Eibar attackers at bay.
Midfield
Solari could opt to start with Toni Kroos, Dani Ceballos and Luka Modric at the middle of the pitch. All three midfielders have had their fair share of good moments during this campaign, but they would still need to work together to establish Madrid’s dominance in midfield.
Casemiro is another player who is set to miss out on this encounter due to injury.
Attack
The Madrid attack would be comprised of Isco, Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale who are expected to lead the charge against a struggling Eibar defence that has conceded 18 goals in 12 league matches so far.
Marco Asensio should start on the bench and might come on during the contest if needed.
