Wolves will travel to North London to take on Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday hoping to bounce back from their 3-2 home defeat at the hands of Tottenham Hotspur last weekend. However, Nuno Espirito Santo’s men will come up against an in-form Arsenal team who are still unbeaten since their 3-2 defeat to Chelsea back in August.
This game has the makings of a great contest with both teams expected to play some open, attractive brand of football. Nuno Santo might opt to stick with his favoured 3-4-3 formation and might name an unchanged side for this encounter.
3-4-3 Wolves Predicted Lineup To Face Arsenal
Defence
The Portuguese goalie, Rui Patricio would line up in goal for the West Midlands outfit while John Ruddy has to settle for a place on the bench. The trio of Ryan Bennett, Conor Coady and Willy Boly would make up the three-man defence for the away team. They have featured in all of Wolves’ league matches so far in this campaign and have built up a strong understanding amongst each other.
Nuno Espirito Santo will demand a good defensive showing against Unai Emery’s Arsenal, who would be expected to get a win at their home turf. Wolves have just conceded 12 goals in 11 Premier League matches so far, which should give their defenders some confidence to keep things stable at the back this weekend.
Midfield
The Portuguese midfield duo of Ruben Neves and Joao Moutinho are likely to continue at the centre of the park with Matt Doherty bombarding down the right flank playing as a wing-back. Jonny, who is on loan from Atletico Madrid, would look to use his pace and guile on the left-hand side of Nuno Santo’s midfield.
All four midfielders need to be at the top of their game if they are to stop the Gunners from dominating the ball in midfield.
Attack
The pacey pair of Ivan Cavaleiro and Helder Costa might be unleashed behind Raul Jimenez, who will lead the lines for the away side on Sunday. The Mexican international has scored goals on a sporadic basis this season, and so his unpredictable record in front of goal makes him a threat for the North London giants to cope with on Sunday.
Adama Traore will be available on the Wolves’ bench and might come on during the game.
