Tottenham Hotspur clashed heads with PSV Eindhoven at Wembley Stadium hoping to earn their first victory of this UEFA Champions League campaign. Spurs suffered a significant setback in the 2nd minute when Luuk de Jong rose above everyone to score with his header.
However, Spurs rallied back in the second half through goals from Harry Kane in the 78th minute and an own goal from Trent Sainsbury which gave them all three points on the night.

He couldn’t do much about de Jong’s powerful header. However, he did pull off a couple of excellent saves to help Spurs win the match.

He tried hard but failed to make an impact in the opposition half.
CB: Davinson Sánchez – 7/10
He coped well defensively and was a useful target man for the home team in the second half.
CB: Toby Alderweireld – 6/10
The centre-back was at fault for letting de Jong get the better of him from close range in the lead up to the PSV goal. However, he came back strong in the second half to see out a win.
LB: Ben Davies – 7/10
He was a brilliant outlet for Tottenham down the right flank and his dangerous cross in the dying embers of the game led to Spurs’ winning goal.
CM: Harry Winks – 8/10
He worked his socks off at the heart of the Tottenham midfield and made some great interceptions during the game which capped off another impressive outing for the Spurs youngster.
CM: Christian Eriksen – 6/10
The Danish international is slowly returning to form, and it showed on the pitch.
RM: Lucas Moura – 7.5/10
The Brazilian speedster made some darting runs with the ball. However, he was subbed after the half-hour mark much to the annoyance of the Tottenham fans.
CAM: Dele Alli – 6/10
The English talent was wasteful in the attacking third but created some good opportunities for his teammates around him.
LM: Heung-Min Son – 5/10
Not the best day out for the South-Korean forward. He struggled to get himself into the game and looked a bit rusty in the opposition half.
ST: Harry Kane – 8/10
The English centre-forward had many attempts at goal but was left frustrated by the PSV keeper. However, he finally managed to score in the 78th minute which gave his team the confidence to go and snatch the victory in injury-time.

The Argentine came on and helped Spurs dominate the ball and push on for the equaliser.
ST: Fernando Llorente – 6/10
The Tottenham striker came off the bench and was a menace for the PSV defenders.
