Juventus are reportedly interested in Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla. The Spaniard is currently in his last year of the contract and hasn’t been offered a new deal by The Gunners. Juventus are persuading the midfielder not to sign a new contract with the English side.
The 31-year old who was signed from Malaga in 2012 has been a mainstay in the midfield this season.
The Spaniard is free to sign pre-contract in January with any club but is waiting for a contract extension and said recently, “If they’ll offer me a new contract, I’ll sign it because I am very happy with this great club. I am happy here. I am trusted by the manager and my team-mates.”
The Bianconeri’s are also planning to bring Zenit’s Axel Witsel as Claudio Marchisio is yet to be fit.
Cazorla has been a confirmed starter although Arsenal have signed Granit Xhaka and Mohamed Elneny to bolster their midfield. This could be the reason why Arsenal are currently not interested in a contract extension.
