Unai Emery is expected to opt for a 4-2-3-1 formation and might make some changes to his side for this crucial league encounter.

Defence
Bernd Leno should retain his place in Emery’s starting XI following a string of outstanding displays in goal for the Gunners over the past few weeks.
The centre-back pair of Shkodran Mustafi and Rob Holding is expected to line up ahead of the German keeper for this upcoming Premier League clash against the Reds. Stephan Lichtsteiner might be asked to fill in as a makeshift left-back after his goal-scoring heroics against Blackpool in midweek while Hector Bellerin would look to use his pace on the other side of the Arsenal backline. Nacho Monreal is a significant doubt for this clash and would be in a race against time to be fit for this weekend’s encounter.
Unai Emery’s men have conceded three goals in their last two outings and so their defenders will be in a for a difficult day dealing with the threat of Liverpool’s terrific front three of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino.
Midfield
The North London outfit could start with the midfield duo of Lucas Torreira and Granit Xhaka who would both be responsible for shielding the backline while also establishing some dominance at the middle of the pitch.
The in-form trio of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Mesut Ozil and Alex Iwobi might be asked to play ahead of them as part of the Arsenal attack. Matteo Guendouzi was given his marching orders in midweek, and thus the youngster will be suspended for this contest.
Attack
Alexandre Lacazette will lead the lines for Arsenal on Saturday. He has had a dip in form in recent weeks and so this weekend’s clash at the Emirates will serve as a good opportunity for him to return to his goal-scoring ways.
