According to recent reports, Chelsea are looking to seal a move for AC Milan midfielder Suso when the transfer window reopens in January. It is understood that the Pensioners manager, Maurizio Sarri is planning on making a title push this season, which is why he wants to bolster his attacking options during the winter transfer period and Suso fits the bill perfectly.
The Rise Of Suso – The Forgotten Liverpool Prospect
The former Liverpool midfielder has managed to establish himself as one of the best playmakers in the Serie A after putting in a string of eye-catching displays at the San Siro over the past few years. The Spaniard has enjoyed a rich vein of form under Gennaro Gattuso this season which has not gone unnoticed by other clubs.
Suso has featured in 11 matches for AC Milan this term, scoring three goals while grabbing seven assists in all competitions. He has been an integral member of the Milan first-team as they slowly look to establish Milan’s name amongst the best teams of Italy. The Cadiz youth product has also earned two international caps for the Spanish national team which is not an easy feat considering the talent they possess.
What Will The Spaniard Bring To Stamford Bridge?
Suso is moderately paced but a fantastic dribbler with the ball. He has tremendous close control which helps him pick out a decisive pass in the attacking third. Moreover, the Spaniard has also developed a keen eye for goal which makes him an ideal asset for AC Milan.
The 25-year-old’s time at Liverpool was full of promise but with no end product. Maybe Suso should consider coming back to the Premier League as he still has some unfinished business in English football. Chelsea can potentially be a perfect destination for him as he would be able to link up with some of the best attacking talents in European football.
Is Suso The Correct Choice For The Pensioners?
The addition of Suso would undoubtedly bolster Sarri’s attacking options at Stamford Bridge. He would also add a lot of competition for places within the Pensioners midfield which sometimes lacks that little bit of extra quality when Eden Hazard and Willian are not performing at their peak. Hence, Sarri should go all out in pursuit of Suso’s signature as he could be a shrewd acquisition for the Blues of London.
