Everton have made a solid start to this Premier League season and have managed to earn two league victories in a row against Fulham and Leicester City respectively. One player who has recently caught the eye in Everton’s League Cup victories over Rotherham and Southampton has been Kieran Dowell. The youngster has been part of Marco Silva’s bench during league encounters, but he is yet to make an appearance in the English top-flight this season.
The 21-year-old is an Everton academy graduate who spent last season out on loan at Nottingham Forest. The Ormskirk born prospect put in some excellent displays during the previous campaign, scoring ten goals while creating five assists in 43 matches for the Tricky Trees across all competitions.
What Does The English Prospect Add To Marco Silva’s Side?
As evidenced by his brilliant record last season, Dowell has a knack for scoring and creating goals from midfield and has incredible potential to be a future star in English football. He is extremely versatile and can operate anywhere in central midfield or down the flanks which makes him an invaluable long-term asset for the Toffees.
The Everton starlet is a complete midfielder who is moderately quick which helps him dribble with the ball behind the opposition backline. He also has an eye for a decisive pass in the final third and knows how to find the back of the net.
Is Dowell Good Enough To Feature For The Everton First-Team?
Dowell has all the makings of a great midfielder and could be on the verge of breaking into Marco Silva’s first-team if he can keep up the same level of consistency on the pitch.
