According to a recent report by TalkSPORT, Real Madrid are looking to secure the signature of Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen next summer. It is understood that Los Blancos have made the Danish international their number 1 transfer target and would attempt to get the deal done at the end of the season.
Christian Eriksen: Tottenham’s Midfield Maestro
The 26-year-old talent has already managed to put in some excellent performances for the North London club over the course of this campaign so far. Eriksen has featured in 7 matches for Spurs this season, finding the back of the net once while creating two assists across all competitions. The Danish star is currently sidelined due to an injury but is expected to play again in Mauricio Pochettino’s starting XI before the end of this month.
Since his move from AFC Ajax in the summer of 2013, Eriksen has gradually improved and has managed to establish himself as one of the best midfielders in the Premier League. The Tottenham midfielder also had a solid 2018 FIFA World Cup campaign in Russia when he helped his nation qualify from their group.
However, Denmark were eventually knocked out in the Round of 16 phase by Croatia on penalties which ended Eriksen’s dreams of lifting the famous trophy.

Why Pochettino Shouldn’t Let His Star Player Leave?
The Danish international can score and create goals on a consistent basis which is why Spurs cannot afford to let him leave at any cost.
However, with a big club like Real Madrid looking to recruit him, it won’t be easy for Mauricio Pochettino to retain his midfield general. Spurs should do everything in their power to keep hold of Eriksen as it would be tough to replace someone of his talent in today’s inflated market.
