Blackburn Rovers are one of the few undefeated teams so far, but three draws in five games have halted their progress. They are coming on the back of a comfortable second-round win in the Carabao Cup and would travel to Ashton Gate to take on Bristol City next. The Riversiders would like to go into the international break on the positive front, and they would like to keep their unbeaten record intact.
The match is between two evenly powered teams so the game could go either way. Bristol City have picked up their game in the last few weeks as they went past Swansea City by a narrow one-goal margin previous gameweek.
Team News
Adam Armstrong, Derrick Williams and Bradley Dack could all return to the squad as they are close to recovering from their respective injuries. Dominic Samuel is out with an ACL injury which he suffered in the game against Reading. Ben Gladwin is still having a knee problem and would be a significant doubt for this game. Jacob Davenport is also likely to miss out.

Defence
David Raya will start in goal. The youngster has done exceedingly well and has kept three cleansheets so far this season. Only one with more cleansheets is Darren Randolph of Middlesbrough whose team are tied on points at the top.
The experienced Charlie Mulgrew has done well, and he would play in the heart of the defence. He is likely to be partnered by Darragh Lennihan. The defender has so far played all the games in the Championship. Down the right side of the defence, we expect Ryan Nyambe to start. Out left, January signing Amari’i Bell would start to complete a solid back four.
Midfield
Northern Irish international Corry Evans would start just in front of the back four. The midfielder like many others has so far played all the games in the Championship as manager Tony Mowbray has been consistent with his selections. He is likely to be partnered by Richard Smallwood who signed a new contract in July this year. Both of them would be expected to keep things tight in midfield.
Slightly on the attacking front in midfield, Elliott Bennett would start down the left flank. He has been used on both the sides this season, so that goes on to showcase the midfielder’s versatility. New signing Joe Rothwell should start in the no.10 role behind the striker. Down the right flank, Chelsea loanee Kasey Palmer should start.
