Tottenham Hotspur extended their 100 per cent record in the Premier League this season with a famous win against Manchester United at Old Trafford. After an evenly poised first half, Spurs came all out and put pressure on the opposition defence to register a famous win with goals from Harry Kane and Lucas Moura.
Kane broke the deadlock in the 50th minute via a perfectly timed header from a Kieran Trippier corner to find the top corner beyond the reach of David De Gea. Lucas Moura struck in the 52nd and 84th minute to put the match beyond Jose Mourinho’s men, putting the Special One’s time at Old Trafford in more jeopardy.
This is how the Tottenham players were rated from their famous victory against Manchester United.
Hugo Lloris 6
Decent performance on the night. Made a good save to deny Lukaku.
Kieran Trippier 6
Looked sharp as always. His well-timed delivery from the corner opened the scoring and initiated the second goal as well.
Toby Alderweireld 7
The long-term Manchester United target showed his worth as he put in a brave display to deny the Red Devils any chance of a comeback.
Jan Vertonghen 7
Complemented Alderweireld well. Could have been involved in an own goal.
Danny Rose 6
Must have scared the Spurs fans with his awful back pass to set up Lukaku which the Belgian missed. Looked composed otherwise.
Mousa Dembele 6
Put in the rigours in the middle of the pitch. A cool and composed performance.
Eric Dier 6
Steadied the ship with his presence in the midfield.
Dele Alli 7
Looked good on the ball. Was denied on a couple of occasions by de Gea and Smalling.
Christian Eriksen 7
Passed the ball into the right areas and set up Moura for the second goal.
Lucas Moura 8
Superb in the second half as his well-timed strikes earned the three points for his side.
Harry Kane 7
Was kept silent in the first half but scored the all important opening goal in the second half.
