Watford made it three wins out of three so far this season in the Premier League after they won their match against Crystal Palace. Both teams created a number of chances in the first half but the half ended goalless. In the second half, Roberto Pereyra broke the deadlock after 53 minutes and Jose Holebas added another one in the 71st minute for Watford. Palace did not give up their pursuit for getting something out of the match and their talisman Wilfried Zaha was the one to score the only goal for the Eagles in the 78th minute.
This is how the Watford players have been rated in their win against Crystal Palace.
Ben Foster: 7
Looked great in the goal for the Hornets and made two top-quality saves to keep his team in the match. Was not at fault for Zaha’s goal.

Made some important blocks and delivered a few passes into the opposition area.
Christian Kabasele: 6
Looked good in the heart of the defence and did his best to keep his side out of harms’ way.
Craig Cathcart: 6
His solid presence in the backline helped see off the threat from Benteke.
Jose Holebas: 7
Was a bit lucky to score the all-important second goal for his side. Looked fragile defensively though.
Will Hughes: 7
Solid performance from the midfield ace. Caused problems for the opposition with his intuitive play.
Abdoulaye Doucoure: 6
A good outing to say the least. Threaded a number of beautiful passes for his teammates.
Etienne Capoue: 7
Sat deep and looked composed in the middle of the pitch. Set Pereyra up brilliantly for the opening goal.
Roberto Pereyra: 8
Looked sharp and on target from the word go. Scored the first goal with a beautiful effort to beat Hennessey.
Troy Deeney: 6
Played his heart out and kept the pressure on the opposition defenders as much as possible.
Andre Gray: 5
Did not have a great game and was bogged down by Sakho for the major part of the match.
Substitutes

Came on for Gray but looked no better than him.

Played too little to warrant a rating.
