According to reports in French Outlet L’equipe, Chelsea are close to finalising a loan move for their winger Lucas Piazon. He is likely to be sent to Ligue 1 outfit Reims and both the parties are already in talks regarding the future of the Brazilian.
The 24-year-old has been with the Blues since 2012 and has been part of their loan army for the last few years. He has so far been to Malaga (14 appearances), Vitesse Arnhem (31 appearances, 11 goals), Eintracht Frankfurt (23 appearances, two goals), Reading (27 appearances, five goals) and Fulham (58 appearances, 12 goals).
This has been the story of numerous Chelsea players over the past few seasons. The winger had a productive spell last season with the Cottagers where he played a crucial role in their qualification to the top flight. There were reports of them going after the 24-year-old on a permanent basis but Fulham chose to splash the cash on other players instead of the Brazilian winger.
An impressive loan spell might even push the French outfit to make a permanent move for him later. Reims have started brightly this season as they defeated Nice and Lyon in the first two games of the campaign.

Piazon hasn’t been involved in the matchday squad in the first two games under Maurizio Sarri so it definitely makes sense for the player to move away from Stamford Bridge. He has made just 3 appearances for Chelsea even though the winger has been their player for close to six seasons now. At least, he will be glad that it didn’t turn out like Matej Delac for him. Delac, a goalkeeper, was with the Blues since 2010 and was recently sold in 2018. He never managed to make a single appearance for them and had loan spells at 9 different clubs.
