According to The Sun, as cited by Shoot, Liverpool are facing a dilemma in letting go of their goalkeeper Loris Karius this summer. Reportedly, the Reds have received an offer from the Turkish giants Besiktas for their German defensive ace, who is valued at £10.8m.
Karius was taken apart the pundits and the Liverpool fans after his antics in the last season’s Champions League final saw his team go down to Real Madrid by 3-1. He was viciously trolled on social media as well and there were also demands for the 25-year-old to be disposed of this summer.
However, Jurgen Klopp has stood by his side so far. The German has already gone down the pecking order after the arrival of the Brazilian keeper Alisson Becker from AS Roma. Liverpool’s first match against West Ham United, in which the Reds dominated the proceedings and defeated the Hammers by 4-0, witnessed Alisson’s sharp goalkeeping skills and confident display as he kept a clean sheet.
The former Mainz goalkeeper is set to bide his time on the bench but now with the bid from Besiktas coming in, there might be serious doubts over his future at the Anfield. Liverpool have already let their young keeper Danny Ward to leave on loan for the season, leaving both Karius and Simon Mignolet as their second and third choice starters behind Alisson. So it is going to be a tough decision to make for the Reds and their manager whether they would want to let the 25-year-old German ace leave for Turkey.

Karius has his contract with the Merseyside club till 2021 but his premature exit can put Liverpool in a precarious position to find a good backup for their Brazilian goalkeeper.
