According to Birmingham Live, as cited by Shoot, Chelsea ace Tammy Abraham might be a part of the Blues’ squad for this season as there is lack of attacking options in the hands of the new manager Maurizio Sarri. The player was sent on loan to Swansea City in the last term and to Bristol City in the season prior to that and was expected to have the same fate this season as well.
As per reports, Championship club Aston Villa have been on the lookout to bring the 20-year-old to the Villa Park this summer but now it seems that their plans might be in jeopardy. From the current look of things, it seems that the player will be playing a part in the Chelsea squad as the third choice striker behind Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud.
The Blues were unable to land any new strikers this summer and Sarri has been left with only three strikers to choose from to lead his line. While Morata has been a flop in the last season, Giroud, who was brought into the side in January, has not been a proper upgrade above the Spaniard. So, there is a chance that Abraham might be used as a sporadic option up front by the new Italian manager at Stamford Bridge.

Aston Villa themselves were looking to beef up the squad under new owners and a loan move for Abraham was on their books. As per regulations, though the transfer window was closed on Thursday night, there is an option for the Premier League clubs to let players to be loaned out to lower division clubs. Now it is to be seen whether Chelsea let him leave on loan.
