Arsenal have tied down yet another young talent with a professional contract at the Emirates. Irish midfielder Jordan McEneff penned down his first pro-contract and as per the club’s official statement, as cited by Pundit Arena, two more of the Academy graduates in the form of Harry Clarke and Tobi Omole, have also been rewarded with their first professional contracts.
The Gunners are known for their patronage of young talents whom they nurture and develop into stars. Their former manager Arsene Wenger was an expert in finding the best talents as he brought the best out of stalwarts like Cesc Fabregas, Thierry Henry, Theo Walcott and Jack Wilshere, to name a few.
It seems that the club has not forgotten their old ways even after the introduction of their new manager Unai Emery. Arsenal released an official statement regarding the signing of the 17-year-old Academy Graduate McEneff, which said,
“Academy graduates Harry Clarke, Jordan McEneff, and Tobi Omole have signed their first professional contracts.
Jordan signed for us at the age of 17. The Irish youth international picked up an injury at the start of last season but has impressed in his seven appearances as an attacking midfielder for our under-18s this year.”
