According to The Express, Liverpool might be in with a slim chance to land their long-term target, French ace Nabil Fekir this summer. The player has been the most talked about player in around Anfield and was almost on the verge of joining the Merseyside club, but the Reds pulled the plug on the deal during his medical.
However, latest reports are indicating towards the fact that the player can be in for a move to the Premier League club, which has to be done today before the 5 pm transfer deadline. In a recent interview with Lyon’s official club TV Station, Fekir himself confirmed that though he is happy at Lyon, there is still chance for him to move out of the club and arrive at Anfield.
He said, “As you can see, I am in Lyon. I am very happy here.”
“But the transfer window is still long and everything goes very quickly in football.”
Going by his words, the 25-year-old looks interested in the move to be completed and this is undoubtedly a massive boost for the Liverpool faithful. However, they will have to make haste and agree on terms with the Ligue 1 giants, who are determined not to let their captain and influential midfielder leave this summer.

The Merseyside club has already made the inclusion of some players in the form of Naby Keita, Fabinho, Alisson and Xherdan Shaqiri, which sees them as the best-placed team to challenge the defending champions Manchester City. The potential inclusion of a player like Fekir would make them even stronger, as 25-year-old old can fill in the void left by their former midfield talisman, Philippe Coutinho, who departed for Barcelona in January.
