As per reports emerging in Bosnian publication Sport, cited by Bristol Post, English Championship giants Leeds United are in the hunt to land Everton midfielder Muhamed Besic this summer. The 25-year-old has fallen down the pecking order in the Everton lineup in the last few seasons and was sent on loan to Middlesbrough in January, where he played a significant role to help them qualify for the playoffs.
This summer, the player is back with the Toffees and chances are once again hard to come by for him with the Merseyside club and their new manager Marco Silva already investing in new players for the next season. This has now brought the Elland Road club in the spotlight as the party interested in adding the player to their squad this summer.
New manager Marcelo Bielsa is looking to field a strong team next season as he seems to bid for a place in the top six on the Championship league table. The addition of a player like Besic will not only give stability to the midfield but also will be a major statement of intent from the Argentine gaffer about his plans.

The 25-year-old enforcer was a significant boost for the Boro midfield in the last season as Tony Pulis used him regularly to boost his defensive options and it is sure that the player will be up for another prime role in the Leeds United ranks if they can land him. However, they will have to make haste with the countdown for the closure of the transfer window almost ready to start.
