Arsenal have been constantly linked with a move for Barcelona‘s French winger Ousmane Dembele, however, the Spanish giants are not willing to sell him just yet after spending big money on him last season. The Gunners meanwhile have devised a plan to still bring the World Cup winner to London as now they are eyeing a season-long loan deal for him for which they are willing to pay £9m as the loan fee.
Unai Emery’s squad lack any sort of depth in the wide regions as Alex Iwobi is the only outright winger in the squad. It is expected that Pierre Emerick Aubameyang will play out wide given his pace but one feels that he should lead the line the for his side in the upcoming season.
Dembele struggled to get going in his first season at Camp Nou as his start was plagued with a long-term injury. After he came back, he did show some glimpses why the La Liga holders paid such kind of money to acquire him. However, his place in the first team will be under threat now as the Catalonian giants have gone on to sign Malcolm from Bordeaux.
The 21-year-old is destined for big things and acquiring him will certainly push Arsenal that much closer to getting in the Champions League next year. However, Barcelona will also be aware of the talents of the Frenchman and they will like to give him another opportunity to prove himself.
