According to Bleacher Report, as cited by This Is Futbol, Liverpool are still in talks with Lyon to sign French star Nabil Fekir. They were perilously close to secure a deal for the 25-year-old player but the deal fell through in the last moment as Fekir failed to pass the medical at Liverpool.
However, it has been reported that the Reds are not giving up yet on the hope to sign the player from Lyon and might try until the summer transfer window comes to a close. Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is a big fan of Fekir’s abilities with the ball and needs a player like him to fill in for Philippe Coutinho, who departed Anfield in January.
The French ace is also interested in the move, as per the report, but his chances of making it out of the Ligue 1 club has been hit by the conflicting interest of Jean Michel Aulus, the president of Lyon. He has been the stumbling block for the deal to be completed while both the player and Liverpool are in favour of it to happen.
Klopp has some of the best players in Europe in his team after spending behind the signings of Fabinho, Naby Keita, Alisson and Xherdan Shaqiri this summer. However, with Fekir in his side, the Merseyside club can do wonders next season and can challenge defending champions Manchester City for the Premier League title.

So it is absolutely right for the Reds to go all in to secure the signature of the 25-year-old attacking midfielder, who can be a very vital cog in their lineup in the pursuit of glory next term. Now it is to be seen whether Aulus can hold onto his prized possession or Klopp gets his hands on the Lyon skipper.
