Manchester United have missed out on quite a few of their targets and we can expect some mad scamper from them in the final few days of the transfer market. Latest reports from Italy suggest that they have renewed their interest for Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic Savic. The Serbian was linked with a move earlier but nothing materialised at that point in time.
With the Premier League transfer window closing on Thursday, Jose Mourinho looks keen to make a final attempt to land the 23-year-old midfielder. If reports are to be believed then the Italian outfit are demanding £138m for their prized asset. Real Madrid have also shown an interest in him but are only willing to pay £89 for the Serbian.
Milinkovic Savic is a dynamic midfielder as he can do a different kind of jobs in midfield. He can play in an anchor role as well as in a more attacking box to box role. At just 23, he shows great maturity whenever he is on the ball and is usually tough to dispossess. He uses his strength and physicality to great effect and has all the facets to his game to be successful in the Premier League.
The rumours for Milinkovic Savic died down after they signed the Brazilian midfielder Fred. It looks unlikely now that they will go after another midfielder that too for such a huge price. United are also trying tooth and nail to land a defender in the last few days.

Jose Mourinho has been criticised for not getting the best out of Paul Pogba. The Frenchman had a terrific World Cup where he played a key role in their success. A partnership between the Serbian and Frenchman could be too much to handle for the opposition but United will have to act quickly if they want to make a move for him.
