Former Liverpool and English striker Stan Collymore claims that Liverpool have had the best transfer window among other teams and according to him Naby Keita is the signing of the summer. The Reds struck a deal for the African midfielder last season only and he was set to be Liverpool player a year after. He joined the team officially on July 1 and has already looked the part in Liverpool’s preseason games.
The English striker with 3 national caps assessed all the major signings and said,”Mahrez is a top quality player. To win the Premier League in 2016 and be best the player in the league that season was fantastic. Rui Patricio and Joao Moutinho are top-drawer signings for Wolves as well. But if I’m looking at one outstanding bit of business this summer, then it’s Keita at Liverpool.”
He added further,”He will bring the mobility and protection for the defence that the club have been seriously needing. I’m expecting big things from Keita, who, with fellow Anfield new boy Fabinho, is a massive upgrade on what they have already got in midfield.”
Like Collymore said, the Guinean international will bring a bit of everything in midfield as he has both defensive and attacking side to his game. Even in his final season with RB Leipzig the midfielder was instrumental for them. However, some believe that the player will have to take care of his temper as he often goes into rash challenges and has a history of poor disciplinary record on the pitch.

Keita will add more mettle and backbone to the side and Liverpool had no hesitation in handing him the iconic no.8 jersey which was worn by club legend Steven Gerrard not so long ago. On top of it, Keita is just 23 and he can still go on take his game to the next level. The midfielder is one of the major reasons why many are considering the Reds as of one of the top contenders for the title in the upcoming season.
