According to the Daily Star, Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has been urged to make a deal with Real Madrid for Thibaut Courtois. He has been said to land current Galacticos Number 1 Keylor Navas in a straight swap deal this summer.
The Belgian shot-stopper has been vocal about his interest to be in Madrid, where he has his family settled. However, he has not directly said anything about his desire to join Los Blancos but it is being assumed that Santiago Bernabeu will be his next destination. He even went AWOL yesterday from training, which is being termed as his show of intent to leave Stamford Bridge this summer.
Former West Ham United goalkeeper Shaka Hislop is of the opinion that the Blues should let Courtois leave and bring in Navas from Real Madrid, who is set to go down the pecking order or be sold if the big Belgian arrives at the Bernabeu. He has suggested that Chelsea should take advantage of this situation and bring the Costa Rican international at the Bridge, who has won three Champions League trophies in the last three campaigns with the Spanish club.
In a recent interview with ESPN FC, the former Premier League star said, “Straight swap, Keylor Navas,” he added, “For me, Navas, top five, top six in the world. No question. And that’s including Courtois in there. If you get a straight swap, never mind all the other names that are banded about, I think that puts you in an outstanding position.”

Chelsea have been striving hard to get things going in the transfer market this summer, having brought in only Jorginho and Rob Green. Now it is to be seen whether Sarri takes Hispol’s advice and makes the swap deal happen or not.
