Liverpool and Fenerbahce are yet to come to an agreement over the sale of Belgian striker Divock Origi. The forward is one of the players which the Reds are looking to offload and they are currently valuing him at £26m which the Turkish giants are unwilling to match. They are instead looking to sign him on a loan move but Liverpool, after heavy spending in the summers, are looking to sell the striker on a permanent basis.
Origi will find it extremely tough to break into Liverpool’s starting lineup. With Daniel Sturridge also back to full fitness, moving away from Anfield will be a good move for everyone involved. The Belgian forward had spent the last season on loan with Wolfsburg where he found the back of the net 7 times in 37 appearances.
The asking price of Liverpool might be steep but given the current market situation, there might be a chance that some clubs might be willing to pay that kind of amount for the striker.
When he burst onto the scene, the 23-year-old forward was touted as a huge talent. He even went on to be a regular for his country in the 2014 World Cup over the likes of Romelu Lukaku and Christian Benteke, however, he hasn’t developed as everyone expected him to be and moving away from Merseyside to find regular game time will be the best choice for his overall development.

Origi so far has managed 21 goals for Liverpool in 77 appearances in his four-year stint at the club. With the transfer window closing soon, the parties will need to come to a conclusion. Both the clubs are demanding different things and it will be interesting to see who will bend from their demands first.
