With the transfer window coming to a close in a few days time, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has revealed that his side’s transfer business might not be over yet. According to Sky Sports, the Reds boss has refused to rule out any potential new additions to his squad before the deadline on Thursday.
In a recent interview, after the Merseyside club thrashed Napoli 5-0 at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin on Saturday, Klopp shed some light on the possibility of any last minute additions and was quoted to have said, “We will see what happens,”
“Yes,”
“I cannot kill your D-day [Sky Sports Deadline Day] show, people sit there in front of the television all day waiting.
“If any player from my team is available, then in every other situation in my life as a manager I would have bought all of them, to be honest.
“They are all fantastic boys, they are able to play fantastic football.”
It is clear from Klopp’s words that the Merseyside giants are prepared to pounce on any of their targets if they become available in the next few days. Otherwise, it could be curtains for Liverpool’s summer business as the club looks well equipped in all areas of their squad.
Liverpool have already managed to secure four new players in this transfer window following the arrivals of Naby Keita from RB Leipzig, Fabinho from AS Monaco, Xherdan Shaqiri from Stoke City and Alisson Becker from AS Roma.
The Reds of Merseyside are currently getting ready for their final pre-season match against Torino at Anfield on Tuesday before kicking off their league campaign with a home fixture versus West Ham United next weekend.
