As per Team Talk, Real Madrid star Mateo Kovacic has determined his next destination and it is not Manchester United. The Croatian midfielder has made his wishes clear to join the Premier League club Chelsea which is, definitely, not a good news for the Red Devils and their manager Jose Mourinho, who has Kovacic on the top of his wishlist this summer.
This has reportedly left the Portuguese tactician humiliated and he might have to do with whatever resources he has at his disposal. The former Chelsea manager brought Fred from Shakhtar Donetsk into his side this summer but is not content with his squad and has been looking to add the Real Madrid star, who is currently unsettled at Santiago Bernabeu.
The player has been one of the most highly rated midfield aces in the current scenario of European football but has not been able to break into the first team on a regular basis since his arrival at the Spanish capital. This has made the player sceptical about his future at Real Madrid and he is looking to leave the Galacticos for a team where he can play day in day out, which made Manchester United interested in the midfielder.

In the current scenario, the Red Devils seem to have taken a back seat in the race to sign the player as he has reportedly made his mind up to join the Blues. However, given the fact that the player’s transfer fee is £55m, Chelsea might look for cheaper options, opening an avenue for Mourinho to secure the player’s services this summer. It is not to be seen what the future holds for Manchester United in their pursuit of the Croatian ace.
