Liverpool are a club known for their heritage of patronising young talents, and they have got plenty of them at their disposal at the current moment. One of them, English striker Rhian Brewster has been the point of attraction for some top clubs in Europe this summer, but it seems he is happy to be at Anfield.
The forward played a significant role in the U-17 World Cup in India, guiding his national team to victory. He was probably the brightest star of the tournament and earned rave reviews with his dazzling displays.
The 18-year-old signed a five-year deal recently with the Reds and is seemingly happy to be at the club. Formerly a player from Chelsea, the English youngster joined the Liverpool academy at the age of 14 and lauded his decision to do so.
In a recent interview with Daily Star, the player said that the lack of opportunities provided by the London club to their young players was the main reason behind his decision to leave the club. He said, “It became clear that the problem was opportunities and that they weren’t being made available, even to guys we thought would 100 per cent move up. I didn’t want to leave because I’d been there for so long, I did love Chelsea and they played a big part in my early development. I knew that it wasn’t about what was comfortable and the easy option though, but what was best for me. I’m very glad I took the decision.”

The player managed to rise through the youth ranks and was included in the first team by Jurgen Klopp. However, an unfortunate injury made the German manager reverse his decision. Brewster is yet hopeful that he can make it into the squad shortly.
