According to Caught Offside and as per reports in Germany, Manchester United have been linked with a move for Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng, involving a swap deal for their unsettled French winger Anthony Martial. The Telegraph is reporting that tensions have risen between the 22-year-old attacker and the Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho, which was also seen during their pre-season tour in the USA.
Due to the latest development, speculations are rife that the Frenchman might be on his way to leave the club and his next destination can be the Allianz Arena. The 22-year-old failed to establish a permanent place for himself in Mourinho’s first eleven in the last term, despite making 45 appearances in all competitions apart from scoring 11 goals and providing nine assists for the Red Devils.
However, the Frenchman has seen himself go down the pecking order for probably the first time since joining from Monaco under Louis van Gaal at the Old Trafford and it seems that it is all going downstream as far as his career is concerned as he missed out on a place in the World Cup winning French squad this summer.

According to German outlet Bild, reports are indicating towards a possible departure for Martial and Bayern Munich can be his next destination as Manchester United look to bring in Jerome Boateng to strengthen their backline, pairing him up with Eric Bailley. Both Phil Jones and Chris Smalling had failed to live up to the expectation of the Portuguese manager and a move for the German international, who is priced at €55m, €10m lesser than the French winger is justified from the Red Devils’ point of view.
