According to transfer window specialist Ian McGarry, Liverpool could be one of the teams who can make a late move for Aaron Ramsey in the transfer window. He said,” There’s a little bit of interest from Liverpool, I understand. “I think there’s no vacancy at Liverpool right now following the arrival of Fabinho and Naby Keita but Ramsey would certainly be a very good addition to Jurgen Klopp’s squad as a creative box-to-box midfielder.”
The midfielder has entered in the final year of his contract and is yet to sign a new contract. Unai Emery and his agent has been in talks regarding that but a deal is yet to be finalised. Arsenal faithful will certainly be miffed if the club allows the Welshman to leave next summer for free or even in this transfer window.
Liverpool meanwhile look strong contenders for the title as they have beefed up their options in midfield by signing Naby Keita and Fabinho. They lost Emre Can to Juventus and Alex Oxlade Chamberlain is likely to miss out the entire season due to an injury. So it was important for Klopp to go in the window and sign some midfielders. However, it seems unlikely that they will go for someone like Ramsey as Klopp had earlier indicated that the club is done with their transfer dealings.
The 27-year-old Welshman was a crucial player in Arsene Wenger’s setup last season as he contributed with 11 goals and 12 assists. Ramsey has a knack for scoring goals which often comes because of his late runs in the box. There were reports that Emery will try to build the Arsenal team around the Welshman so it is surprising to see that his contract situation is yet not sorted.

A move to Liverpool seems out of the equation until and unless some of their key midfielders get a serious injury. On the other hand, Arsenal should try everything to tie down the Welshman at the Emirates.
