According to Metro, Manchester United seem to be the most probable destination for the Colombian defender Yerry Mina this summer. As per the reports, the player is edging closer to a move to the Old Trafford as his position with the Spanish giants Barcelona looks far from secure. According to the most recent reports emerging from Spain, Mina has practically agreed terms with Manchester United.
With clubs like Everton still circling around the player, it has not been easy for the Red Devils to get their hands on him. However, from the current look of things, it seems that the 23-year-old is destined to be the latest signing for Manchester United as their manager Jose Mourinho is looking to add new names to his lineup from the last season and has already brought in Fred from Shakhtar Donetsk and Diego Dalot from Porto.
Mina was certainly a star performer for the Colombian national team in the World Cup in Russia and that has made a number of clubs interested in securing his services. Ligue 1 side Lyon have also been reported to be in the race to bring the player in but it seems that the Premier League giants are already on course to bag him this summer.
Jose Mourinho is reportedly interested in getting a new centre-back this summer as he has doubts over the long-term futures of Phil Jones and Chris Smalling. The United manager has also shown interest in players like Harry Maguire and Toby Alderweireld but the asking price for both the players seem to have played the spoilsport in materializing any of the deals.
The former Chelsea manager has reportedly cut a frustrated figure at the club and has spoken about his dissatisfaction regarding the lack of transfer activity in the current transfer window. It seems now that only the transfer fee is left to be discussed between Barcelona and Manchester United.
