Chelsea are plotting a sensational player plus cash deal to secure the services of Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic this summer. According to CalcioMercato, the Blues are hoping to use Charley Musonda plus cash in order to bring the Serbian international to Stamford Bridge during this summer transfer period.
The West London outfit have already managed to acquire the services of Jorginho and Rob Green following the appointment of Maurizio Sarri as their new head coach earlier this summer. However, it is understood that the Chelsea boss still wants to add one more midfield piece to his squad in the coming days before the transfer window comes to a halt in a few days time.
The 23-year-old had put in a number of eye-catching displays for Lazio during the course of last season which has not gone unnoticed by the Blues. Milinkovic-Savic had made 48 appearances for the Italian outfit in the previous campaign, scoring 14 goals while grabbing 9 assists in all competitions.
The same report suggests that the Pensioners are ready to give up a whopping €115m in cash along with the services of Charley Musonda in their quest to land the Serbian midfield prospect in the off-season.
However, with just days left in this window, a deal of this magnitude could take some time and might not get over the line before the transfer deadline. Milinkovic-Savic has 7 international caps for the Serbian national team and has also represented his nation in the 2018 FIFA World Cup but was unable to help his side go beyond the group stages of the competition.
