According to the reports in Calciomercato, Barcelona could be tempted to make a swap deal for Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey with Ousmane Dembele going the other way. The winger is said to be liked by the Gunners and the only way through which they can land the Welsh midfielder is by offering the French winger. However, it is believed that Dembele is currently in plans for the manager for the upcoming season.
Ever since the departure of Paulinho and Andres Iniesta, the Catalan giants are in need of an able midfielder. Ramsey fits the bill perfectly for them and his contract situation at the Emirates is yet not sorted. However, it is believed that the player is set to play a crucial role in Unai Emery’s setup as he tries to bring Arsenal back to the Champions League.
The World Cup winner had a tough first season at Camp Nou as he struggled to get going and missed a good chunk of the season due to injury. It’s never easy for a youngster to come to a big club with a big price tag behind him and he was quite unlucky to be injured just before the season began.
With the signing of Malcolm, Dembele will have more competition for places so it remains to be seen how he will take up to the new challenge. On the other hand, Emery cannot let Ramsey leave as that will leave the team light in the central midfield position. The Spanish manager has already parted ways with Jack Wilshere and losing another one of an influential midfielder in the same transfer window won’t go down well with Arsenal faithful.
