Rangers have been looking to add another defender to their repertoire and after failed attempts at landing Jake Cooper, they were being linked with a move for Blackpool defender Curtis Tilt. Now the 26-year-old has reportedly handed in a transfer request as he is pushing for a move to Ipswich Town. The Gers were interested in him but have cooled down their interest in the past week. Ipswich Town have reportedly made a bid for the defender of £700,000 and Blackpool are yet to respond to it.
The defender has risen through non-league football and Blackpool was his biggest break who he joined in 2017. He is slowly moving up the ladder and with a Championship club calling for him, he will definitely be tempted to join them. The Gers are still interested in bringing in a left-sided centre-back and there were strong rumours that they are going to go after the 26-year-old defender.
Tilt was regular at Bloomfield Road last season as he racked up 45 appearances in all competitions. The team might have finished 12th in the league but the defender’s performance was applauded.
Teddy Bears have started well in the Europa League qualifiers and they are looking defensively stronger than before. They had the worst defensive record among the top seven sides last season and the addition of Connor Goldson and Nikola Katic is already showing good results. However, they still lack a bit of depth in the centre back department and that is one of the reasons why they are still looking to add a defender.

It remains to be seen whether the Light Blues will try to get him now that the player has handed in a transfer request. Though, Ipswich Town are the favourites to land him as they have already made an offer for the defender.
