Arsenal have been heavily linked with Sevilla midfielder Steven Nzonzi but there have been no offers for the player as confirmed by the Spanish club’s president. Jose Castro(Sevilla President) said,”We want Steven N’Zonzi to come back here, he is our player, there is nothing else to it and there is no offer. We told him to come here on August 8 at 9 am. He will have to undergo physical tests.”
The player is enjoying extended holiday’s after his exploit in the World Cup for France. He didn’t feature for the Les Bleus regularly in the playing eleven but did a decent job coming off the bench in quite a few games.
Arsenal are looking for a new beginning under Unai Emery after Arsene Wenger parted ways with the club after more than two decades of service. The pressure will be on the Spanish manager as he will be expected to deliver a top 4 finish in the upcoming season. Emery had managed Nzonzi earlier when he was with Sevilla and that is one of the reasons why everyone expected him to go hard after the French midfielder.
Arsenal are looking for a midfield enforcer as Granit Xhaka has been struggling at the club. The 29-year-old will definitely add a lot of spine and mettle to the Gunners squad if he decides to make the switch to the Emirates. However, Arsenal have yet not made a move for him which was confirmed by Sevilla’s President.
