It is being reported that West Ham United are looking to acquire the services of Angel Romero. The Paraguayan international currently plays for Brazilian club Corinthians. The 26-year-old has caught the attention of the West Ham hierarchy as the English club look to secure the services of the winger.
The Hammers have already begun strengthening their squad for the start of the upcoming Premier League campaign. Seven new additions have been made but the London based club look to continue with their spending spree.
West Ham broke their spending record fee as they secured the signature of Felipe Anderson from Serie A club Lazio. They have also completed the signings of Jack Wilshere and Andriy Yarmolenko to boost their options in midfield. Goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski signed from EFL Championship newcomers Swansea City while defenders Fabian Balbuena, Issa Diop and Ryan Fredericks also joined up with the Hammers to add strength to their squad.
The arrival of Romero will bring a change towards West Ham’s attacking options as Manuel Pellegrini looks to have a successful stint with the club. Balbuena might be eager for the winger to join the club as the pair worked together during their time in Brazil with Corinthians.
West Ham will look to have a solid season next term as there are Europa League spots up for grabs as well as the possibility to go all the way and contend for glory in the FA Cup and the EFL Cup. The Hammers are aware that in football, anything is possible and would be confident to try their luck in securing a silverware next season.
The addition of Pellegrini as head coach will boost the fans’ hopes of success and give the board hope as the experienced manager is very much capable of making a change for the better at the London Stadium. The potential addition of a player like Romero will give them a much-needed edge over their opponents which they lacked in the last season.

The 26-year-old can play on either side of the wing. He can also be deployed as a forward as he has the ability to link up play between the midfield and the strikers. Since joining Corinthians in 2014, he has gone on to find the back of the net 14 times. He has also got his name on the assist charts as he set up 13 goals for his teammates. Romero has represented his country 12 times and has scored twice for the Los Guaraníes. All in all, this would definitely be a good addition for the Hammers.
