Leicester City have finally parted ways with their winger Riyad Mahrez and they are in search of a player who can take up his position as a wide forward. It will be tough to fill the void left by the Algerian but Claude Puel will definitely have to bring in someone and if latest reports are to be believed, then they are being linked with a move for Everton‘s Yannick Bolasie.
Quite a few Premier League clubs have registered an interest in the Congolese winger as he can be surplus to requirements under new manager Marco Silva. Bolasie has managed just 32 appearances in his stint with the Toffees as his time has been plagued with injuries. However, despite all his recent misfortunes, there is still no dearth of interest for the player.
The Foxes finished ninth last season as they were unable to gather any momentum to perform well. They ended the season poorly and the pressure will be on Claude Puel to deliver the goods in the upcoming campaign.
It’s being reported that Everton are not looking to sell the 29-year-old but will consider if the offer is sizeable for the winger. Bolasie has missed the preseason with the Toffees, who had headed off to Portugal without him and that has added fuel to his departure from Goodison Park this summer.
The Merseyside outfit can also let go off Bolasie as they are set to sign Richarlison from Watford in a big money move. Bolasie made his name with Crystal Palace and is known for his searing pace and dribbling skills. However, he is often found wanting to deliver the goods in the final third and that has been one of his major shortcomings over the last few years.
The deal can be a good one for the Foxes as he has plenty of experience in the English top flight. However, Leicester might not want to pay much given the injury track record the player has. The Merseyside club would have expected a lot from him when they signed him for £25m in 2016 but he has managed just 2 goals in his 32 appearances.

Leicester City have made some smart signings in the transfer market like James Maddison and Jonny Evans. Bolasie can be a hit and a miss sort of player so relying on him throughout the season can be risky for Puel. Maybe, he will use Bolasie as an impact substitute to change the game whenever his team needs more attacking threat.
