Manchester United are reportedly interested in Falkenberg midfielder Jesper Karlsson. The teenager has already scored four goals and assisted another two in this season.
The midfielder burst into the first team this season and is already the club’s joint leading scorer. Falkenberg’s sporting director Hakan Nilsson has admitted United’s interest in the youngster.
“They’ve expressed their interest. Them and several other big clubs. I’m not speculating about anything at this stage. First, there has to be some form of formal offer from some club, and that hasn’t happened.”
The player himself said that all he can do at the moment is concentrate on his form, “I can’t do anything other than just doing my best and going out there and performing. Then, if they’re watching and think I’m good, that’s just a plus.”
United have been scouting the teenager for quite a while. United had earlier signed a number of players to strengthen their academy including Tahith Chong from Feyenoord.
