Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has labelled the months fixture as a ‘Poisonous Gift’. United defeated Zorya Luhansk 1-0 in a Europa League match on Thursday.
The Red half of Manchester have a very tricky October fixture list. They will first travel to Anfield to face Liverpool on 18th Oct. The Red Devils will then host Fenerbahce on 21st Oct followed by a trip to Stamford Bridge on 23rd Oct.
“Well, we could play Liverpool on the Saturday, we could play Liverpool on the Sunday. We play Liverpool on the Monday.”
“We don’t have the best conditions because we play against two top Premier League teams who don’t have European competition. We have this poisoned gift with playing on the Monday which gives us a very difficult situation.”
The gaffer further added,”But before that we have Stoke, so let us concentrate on Stoke because it is another poisoned gift because Stoke is not what the table says.”
Ibrahimovic headed home on the stroke of the 69th minute after Wayne Rooney failed to hit a volley. Mourinho was seen unhappy with United’s supporting staff and had a heated argument with Rui Faria and Giovanni Cerra.
