Chelsea look set to be in participation for a busy transfer window as players look set to leave and arrive at the club. Of the many names linked with the arrival at West London, the name Miralem Pjanic stands out the most. As reported by Metro, the Juventus midfielder has confided with his agent on a possible departure from the Serie A club to join Chelsea. While Juventus are keen for the player to stay loyal to his contract and remain with the club, Pjanic’s new agent Fali Ramadani will seek a clarification on whether his client will remain in Italy or not.
Pjanic racked up 14 assists to add to the 7 goals he contributed towards the success of the Italian champions last season, but might be tempted to start a new chapter in his career. His agent carried out a significant role in the departure of Maurizio Sarri to seal a move away from Napoli and manage Chelsea. The Bianconeri are keen for the midfielder to sign a contract extension with the record seven consecutive Serie A title winners.
The Chelsea manager Sarri is known to be an admirer of the Bosnian midfielder’s contributions on the field of play but any possible move for Pjanic will be hard to come by as Juventus are already in talks with the Blues over a possible departure of defender Daniele Rugani and striker Gonzalo Higuain, and will not be keen to lose three influential players to one club alone. Spanish champions Barcelona are also keen to lure Pjanic away from Turin.
With Pjanic possibly slipping on a blue shirt come the start of next season, Cesc Fabregas’ chances of adding to his all-time Chelsea appearances will diminish subsequently as Pjanic and Fabregas play a similar style of football and accommodating both on the field will be an interesting act to accomplish. The arrival of Jorginho from Napoli further pushes Fabregas’ place down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge.
As reported, if Chelsea fork out £89.5million, Juventus might be tempted into selling their star who already faces competition from new arrival Emre Can. Pjanic is stable on the ball and is calm with possession. He can pick out a defence-splitting pass and is not afraid to shoot from distance at goal.

These are exciting times ahead for Chelsea if they are to be successful in this transfer market. Time will tell, however, if this particular signing brings sorrow or joy to Sarri and Chelsea.
