Huddersfield Town survived relegation against all odds as quite a few pundits counted them as favourites for the drop last season. They were precariously placed at one point in time, however, they did go on to secure a 16th place finish in the league last season.
David Wagner will be aware that pulling something like that again will be tough so he needs to bring in reinforcements to his squad. The Terriers have been relatively active in the transfer market as they have made as many as seven signings this summer. Wagner is not done yet and is looking to bring in Club Brugge’s winger Anthony Limbombe.
The 24-year-old is being valued at £10m. It is believed that the Belgian is keen to move to England as he thinks that it will increase his chances to play for Belgium in the future. The winger is certainly thinking in the right direction as quite a good amount of Belgian international players ply their trade in the Premier League. Limbombe has just one solitary appearance for the Red Devils as of now.
Wagner will be aware that he needs to bring more attacking and creative threat to his team. The Terriers survived the Premier League on the back of strong and disciplined defensive performance. Huddersfield were the joint lowest scorers in the league as they managed just 28 goals in 38 games.
That stat will certainly be a cause of worry for Wagner as he looks to continue his team’s rise in English football. They have already beaten the odds once by surviving in the Premier League but they will have to pull up their socks further if they want to continue their stint in the English top flight.
Limbombe played down the left flank in midfield and last season, he managed a tally of 6 goals and 6 assists in 27 games in the domestic league competitions. The Terriers seems to be impressed with what he has to offer as they are keen to sign him.

The player is known for his bursting pace and acceleration down the wings, however, he needs to bring more end product to his game to be successful at a higher level. Nevertheless, he looks to be a decent bet for Wagner as his serious pace will surely trouble quite a few defenders. Though, it remains to be seen whether he will be able to adapt to the challenges of the Premier League as we often see players from other leagues struggle initially.
