Arsenal will make the trip to the Turf Moor Stadium after an excellent week which they began by disposing of Chelsea, in what a fitting way to celebrate Arsene Wenger’s 20th year in charge of Arsenal. The Gunners followed it up with a convincing 2-0 win against FC Basel in their second game of the group stage. With the pressure to deliver at an all-time high, Wenger will hope the momentum his team has gathered will not go to waste once the fixtures start coming thick and fast. They are currently third and have a realistic chance of getting into the Top 2 with Spurs and City playing each other in the weekend.
In what has been a major boost to them, Mustafi seems to have taken minimal time in settling alongside Laurent Koscielny and seems to have solved one of Arsenal’s biggest conundrum heading into the season. With the team looking settled and in-form, the fans will believe they have a shot at glory this season.
On Sunday, they will be facing a Burnley side who have impressed in fits and starts and it is anybody’s guess which Burnley side will turn up at the Turf Moor on Sunday. Arsenal will be favourites for a win but will have to be guarded against complacency.
T4O’s PREDICTED ARSENAL LINE-UP VS BURNLEY (4-2-3-1)
DEFENCE
Petr Cech lends his experience and reliability from between the sticks and will look to keep a clean sheet against a Burnley side who will be missing Andre Gray. Hector Bellerin is on a rapid rise to becoming the best right-back in the division and will face off against George Boyd. Laurent Koscielny and Mustafi will line up at centre-back with Nacho Monreal providing defensive stability and adventure going forward in equal measure at left-back.
MIDFIELD
Elneny might get a game with Santi Cazorla being afforded a rest after starting the last couple of games alongside Granit Xhaka in the double-pivot. Mesut Ozil will once again line-up in the No.10 role and will be looking to pull the strings against a young Clarets defence.
ATTACK
Alexis Sanchez looks set to return to the left-wing role after being given a run of starts up front. The Chilean has looked impressive against the likes of Chelsea and FC Basel but might be given a flank role to accommodate either Lucas Perez or Olivier Giroud up front. Theo Walcott will retain his right flank role after bursting into form in the last couple of matches.
