Chelsea have sacked their Italian manager Antonio Conte last week which has paved the way for Maurizio Sarri’s appointment as the new head coach at Stamford Bridge. The Blues have recently parted ways with their Italian boss after the West London club’s owner Roman Abramovich had risked paying Conte his full £9m compensation package.
The club has confirmed that Sarri has been named as the new manager of Chelsea after they finally made a breakthrough during negotiations with Napoli over his release. The arrival of the Italian tactician could give the Blues a huge lift as they look to get some deals done under the former Napoli boss in the last few weeks of this ongoing summer transfer window.
The 59-year-old had taken charge of 148 matches for the Naples-based club during his career, winning 98, drawing 25 and losing 25 of those matches with a healthy Points Per Game (PPG) average of 2.16 (According to transfermarkt).

Kalidou Koulibaly
The Senegalese international is strong in the air, can read the game well and has all the attributes to become one of the best defenders in the world. He is exactly the kind of talent who can benefit from a switch to the English top-flight and his aerial presence and defensive dominance is what the Blues’ backline are craving for at the moment. The Napoli centre-back has featured in 123 matches in the Italian top tier and has 8 goals and 3 assists to his name so far.
Piotr Zielinski
The Polish midfielder has put in some impressive displays at the Stadio San Paolo over the past few years which has seen him become one of the most influential midfielders in Italian football. The West London giants can definitely reap the rewards of his talents if they can pull off a deal to bring him to Stamford Bridge this summer. At 24, he still has his prime years ahead of him which the Blues could look to utilise in the coming years. Lorenzo Insigne
The Napoli star has loads of pace and is skilful on the ball which makes him one of the most feared wide men in Italian football right now. Sarri should definitely look at recruiting him as he has shown in the past that he can be a match-winner at the highest level. Moreover, Insigne is the kind of talent who has the potential to light up the Bridge just like how Eden Hazard and Willian had done in the past few seasons.
