Fulham FC are making a statement this transfer window as they try and secure the signature of Bordeaux attacking midfielder Malcom Oliveira. Having already completed the signing of Nice midfielder Jean Michael Seri, the London based club now set their sights on acquiring 21-year-old Brazilian starlet Malcom.
Inter Milan were touted as firm favourites to land Malcom by the close of the last transfer window but a move has now been put on hold as Italian rivals Roma and English duo Fulham along with Tottenham Hotspur are said to have picked up interest in acquiring the young talent.
Tottenham should try and secure his services as the Brazilian attacking midfielder will offer Mauricio Pochettino an added advantage when drawing out tactics to overcome Premier league opposition in their quest to be crowned champions of England for the first time since 1961.
Spurs possess a variety of attacking options in the form of Erik Lamela, Dele Alli, Christian Eriksen and Lucas Moura. Throw in a talented Malcom into the mix and suddenly Tottenham would look like a well-balanced team who could compete on all fronts in challenging for the opportunity to get their hands on silverware in this oncoming season. Pochettino has signed a new deal with Spurs and is reported to have asked for a larger war chest which could help in strengthening his Tottenham squad.
The Brazil under-23 star has a bag full of tricks up his sleeve and showcases his talents well while on the ball. He is adept in using both his feet which makes it a nightmare for defenders to try and put in a challenge in an attempt to displace the speedster off of the ball. Oliveira has a tremendous left foot and is not afraid to take up the opportunity to rocket the ball into the opposition goal.
Spurs should try their best to get the versatile player to put pen to paper and make his stay in London an official one. Malcom will settle in well as the player is used to the physical game style which the Premier League has to offer. Brazilians love playing their football and a bit of physicality is something they do not shy away from. He is sure to light up White Hart Lane and warm the hearts of the supporters as he makes his lung-bursting runs up and down the pitch.

Tottenham should be patient and alert to the predicament Malcom currently finds himself in, and they would do well to wait for the right opportunity to pounce on their man and make the capture. Time does not wait for anyone, and Spurs must act fast or lament on what could have been a much-needed reinforcement to their squad.
