Tottenham Hotspur under Mauricio Pochettino have been a joy to watch in the Premier League. The Argentine has his Spurs team well drilled with his ideology and this has gone a long way into making them regular challengers for the Premier League crown.
If reports are to suggest then Tottenham are considered to be in the running for the signature of Juan Fernando Quintero, an attacking Midfielder from Argentine based club River Plate.
River Plate president Rodolfo D’Onofrio has set the value at which Colombian winger Quintero can be purchased at. “I know of offers for Quintero. He is happy to be in River. If someone wants to take him, they will have to pay £22m. Let’s not take it out of context; the boy says he’s okay here.”
Tottenham would be smart to make a move for the talented winger as the London outfit look to mount a serious challenge for all available silverware which they will contend for. With the Premier League known to challenge its players on a weekly basis, Spurs will need a depth in its squad as an insurance policy for any injuries which players might succumb to during the weary season.
Quintero is a joy to watch when on his day and would give Tottenham an added attacking option to resort to, if and when needed. Spurs are a strong unit and Quintero would do well to find himself breaking into their starting 11. The attacking midfielder is quick on the ball and possesses a low centre of gravity due to his stature, which makes putting in a challenge to dispossess him off of the ball a risky task as the opposition might end up being drawn into committing the foul.
He can also play as a creative midfielder due to his vision and understanding of the game and the situation in which he finds himself in. He has a rocket of a left foot and can be lethal at set pieces. Quintero would be a good understudy to Christian Eriksen as both players are creative in their approach. The Dutchman has years of experience under his belt and would be able to help guide Quintero in further developing certain aspects of his game.

All that is left of Spurs to do is to get their hands on silverware, something that Pochettino has not found the right quotient to. For all their hard work and valiant efforts, Tottenham tend to stumble at the final hurdle. If they keep their eyes peeled on the finish line, success will follow. Once these players get a taste of success, there will be no stopping the mighty Spurs from marching on.
