Liverpool’s exciting youngster, Harry Wilson, had just signed a new long-term deal at the club. However, he might be soon allowed to go on loan as Jurgen Klopp will find it tough to give him game time in the first eleven. Quite a few Championship clubs have shown an interest in bringing him and why not so, given the performance the 21-year-old gave for Hull City in the second half of the last season.
The winger played 13 games for the Tigers and was directly involved in 11 goals that they scored, scoring 7 and assisting 4. City finished 18th and without Wilson, they could have been dragged in a relegation battle.
With Liverpool looking to send him on loan, maybe Steven Gerrard can make use of his relationship with the Liverpool hierarchy to lure him to Rangers. The Gers were recently linked with the player and would look to take the opportunity to land him this summer. The former Liverpool legend has made some big moves in the transfer market as they look to stop Celtic’s domination in Scottish football.
Wilson can be the one who can provide attacking threat along with Alfredo Morelos and sign the Welsh international will certainly make the Gers genuine title contenders if Gerrard finds a way to fit in his players in a system which can bring the best out of them.
Scoring goals wasn’t a big issue for the Teddy Bears as they managed to score the most number of goals in Scottish Premiership last season. However, they had the worst defensive record of any of the top seven side and keeping it tight at the back will certainly be one of Gerrard’s biggest priority.
The former Liverpool man has brought in a lot of positivity at the club but his real test will soon begin. The Gers have brought in as many as 10 new players in the squad so gelling all of them together will be a big challenge for the Gers.

Wilson has all the capabilities to be a star in Scottish football. He has the technical ability to go past his players and has an eye for a goal as well. He made his international debut when he was just 16 and needs regular playing time to take his game a notch higher. Clubs in the Championship will be up ahead the pecking order to bring him on loan but Rangers have the ace card in Steven Gerrard who can influence board’s decision of bringing the 21-year-old at Ibrox. This is certainly a great opportunity for the Gers and they should at least try to lure the winger to Glasgow.
