Barcelona are a club which can attract interest from almost any player in the world. To join a club of their magnitude is an offer not many players would like to turn down.
English heavyweights Manchester United and Arsenal were looking at the possibility of luring Adrien Rabiot to the Premier League but reports now suggest Barcelona look frontrunners in the race to purchase Rabiot from Paris Saint Germain. The report indicates that the player wants to move to the Nou Camp and personal terms are thought to have been agreed.
Arsenal have already begun strengthening their squad for the upcoming Premier League season by bringing in the likes of Sokratis Papastathopoulos from Borussia Dortmund, Lucas Torreira from Sampdoria, Bernd Leno from Bayer Leverkusen and Stephan Lichtsteiner from Italian champions Juventus on a free transfer.
If Arsenal are to continue adding strength to their midfield options they would have to turn their directions elsewhere since Rabiot prefers a move to Spain. Three players who can make a move to the North London club as an alternative for the French ace are as follows.
Marek Hamsik
Marek Hamsik is not getting any younger and the possibility of adding a major trophy to his mostly dusty cabinet would seem like a good opportunity to try his luck at the Emirates Stadium. Hamsik is an accomplished leader and his leadership skills will come to good effect at Arsenal. The Slovakian is an absolute beast in midfield and can use both feet to good effect as he lifts his head and picks out a delicious pass to a teammate free in space. He is technically gifted and can find the top corner with his thunderbolt shots at goal.
Tom Davies
Tom Davies is one for the future as the Englishman possesses loads of ability to go far in the game. He plays in midfield for Everton and at 20, already has enough experience to play in the high demanding pressures of the Premier League. He is rigid in the centre of the park and can knick balls off of his opponents. He would be a breath of fresh air to the Arsenal midfield. His role is simple. Get the ball, find a pass, free up spaces and work to look for the ball again. He would suit Arsenal’s gameplay well.

Ross Barkley
Signing players from a rival club is not an easy task but with Ross Barkley struggling to find a place in the Chelsea team, Arsenal might just be in luck at targeting Barkley if the player decides that a change in surroundings is required. The 24-year-old has a good shooting range and takes dangerous set pieces too. He acts as the perfect link between the striker and the midfielders.
